A Workshop on Technology in 21st Century Schools for Parents and Teachers

Schools are now challenged to replace the computer lab with a virtually paperless work environment that prepares students for adult computer literacy. For all students, but especially students who learn differently, a comprehensive, integrated approach to technology makes reading, writing, studying, organization, and creative expression more efficient. Parents will learn what to look for in instructional and assistive technology programs in schools. Teachers will learn strategies for developing executive functioning skills in their students, differentiating for a variety of levels, and making instruction more interactive and engaging using computers.

Relevant for all grades but particularly focused on middle school and high school. Presented by a Compass High School teaching team with Rachel Wylde, Executive DirectorLura Milner, Coordinator of Educational Services, and Josie Porcella, Learning Specialist.
